COOKIES FOR A CAUSE — A SWEET SUCCESS!

6,238 Cookies Sold. $6,238 Raised. Countless Reasons to Be Grateful.

Who knew making a difference could taste so good?

Throughout August, our friends at Chick-fil-A Augusta Exchange and Chick-fil-A Augusta Mall turned chocolate chip cookies into something even sweeter, an investment in local children.

Thanks to an incredible community response, 6,238 cookies were sold through Cookies for a Cause, raising $6,238 for RISE Augusta!

Every cookie purchased helped support RISE Augusta’s work providing literacy tutoring, free books, and other critical resources to children who need a little extra help to succeed in school and in life.

We are especially grateful to Kenny Hanna, Owner/Operator, and Kylie Long, Chick-fil-A Marketing, for choosing RISE Augusta as the beneficiary of this fun and meaningful campaign. From promoting the cause to encouraging their teams and customers to get involved, they made the entire experience a joy --- and, yes, the cookies were pretty yummy too!

A Sweet Shout-Out to Some Superstar Sellers!

Three Chick-fil-A team members went above and beyond, selling an amazing 2,383 cookies combined!

Erin Sawyer — 1,023 cookies

Megan Houser — 704 cookies

Sonya Lewis — 656 cookies

And to every person who bought a cookie, told a friend, shared a post, or simply said, “Sure, I’ll take one!” We thank you! You helped turn a small purchase into something much bigger.

At RISE Augusta, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to become a successful reader, regardless of income, circumstance, or zip code. The $6,238 raised through Cookies for a Cause will help us continue surrounding struggling students with the literacy support, books, encouragement, and resources they need to move forward.

Thank you, Chick-fil-A and thank you RISE Augusta supporters for making this campaign such a sweet success!
