Welcome Back to School!

A new school year is here, and with it comes a fresh opportunity for every child to learn, grow,

and discover just how much they can achieve. Whether your child is excited to head back to the

classroom or feeling a little nervous, your encouragement can make all the difference.

At RISE Augusta, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to become a confident reader and successful learner. Success doesn't happen overnight. It grows one day, one lesson, and one book at a time.

Here are a few simple tips to help your child have a great school year:

1) Read Together Every Day

Even 15–20 minutes of reading each day builds vocabulary, strengthens comprehension, and creates a lifelong love of books.

2) Celebrate Effort

Praise hard work, perseverance, and improvement, not just good grades. Confidence grows when children know their best is enough.

3) Stay Connected

Talk with your child’s teacher, ask questions, and stay involved in school activities whenever possible. Parents plus teachers make a powerful team.

4) Create a Routine

Consistent bedtimes, healthy breakfasts, and regular homework times are very important.

5) Ask About Their Day

Take a few minutes every day to ask a few simple questions. Don’t ask a general question like, “How was school?” but rather try questions that are more specific to your little person like, “What made you smile today? What did you do in class today? Who do you sit next to? Did you learn something new or funny?” These little conversations show children you are really interested in their day and that learning matters.

Every new school year is a chance for a new beginning. There will be challenges, but there will also be exciting discoveries, new friendships, and opportunities to grow.

From all of us at RISE Augusta, welcome back!
