Program Purpose
RISE Augusta's STRIVE program focuses on preparing young people for 21st-century careers by equipping them with skills for well-paid, meaningful employment. STRIVE stands for Skills Training, Relevant Internships, and Vocational Education, emphasizing a well-rounded approach to career readiness.
Who It Serves
The program targets disadvantaged and at-risk youth aged 16-21, operating through two alternative learning centers in Richmond County School System and the HUB for Community Innovation.
How It Works
STRIVE takes a personalized approach, offering:
Individual Coaching: Career counselors guide students on personal and professional development.
Career Preparation: Assistance with resumes, interview skills, and workplace etiquette.
Skill Development: Opportunities for certifications, apprenticeships, and technical training.
These services help participants build essential soft skills while addressing underlying personal challenges that may affect their job readiness.
