Celebrating Literacy Leadership at the HUB for Community Innovation

We are proud to share that both RISE Augusta and the Harris Literacy Center—two anchor education partners at the HUB—have been selected as recipients of the prestigious Georgia Reads Award, presented by the Georgia Council on Literacy in partnership with the Governor’s Office.

Each year, only ten organizations across the state are chosen through a highly competitive review process. These organizations are recognized as models of effective, innovative literacy programming with measurable impact.

This dual recognition is a reflection of the collaborative spirit of the HUB. By bringing together partners focused on literacy, health, nutrition, housing, and workforce development, the HUB continues to advance its mission of expanding equitable access to the essential elements of a thriving community. Together, we are working to strengthen literacy outcomes through tutoring, family engagement, book access, and coordinated community support.
