Provides a catalyst for reading engagement in our community, schools, and homes.
“We want children to know that reading is fun and a life-long tool for educational development. In 2020 we were amazed by the community response we received. We were able to record over 50 Read With Me videos that were posted throughout the week from October through December. It was an amazing experience and we are excited to launch Read With Me 2021.”

Program Goal: $20,000
Send 100 children one book per month in 2022
Send books & encouragement letters to 25 foster children
Partner with local authors, celebrities, and teachers to create read with me videos.
My Book Monthly Program
This program is focused on getting books in the hands of children in our community. Our goal is to provide one book every month to 100 children in 2022. Books will be mailed monthly to 75 at-risk children in our community
Foster Support
The My Book Monthly Program will also support 25 Foster Children by providing them with a book and encouragement letter each month. Encouragement letters are sent from mentors and volunteers who understand their plight and who have a desire to provide kind words and wisdom.
Read With Me Videos
This year we have invited readers to record short story time videos that will be available on our YouTube Channel.
Together we will provide videos that allow children to read along in their classrooms or their homes.
RISE Augusta exists for the sole purpose of bolstering education for ALL of the children in our community. However, we put a special emphasis on providing wrap-around services for at-risk children who struggle with poverty, learning disabilities, and many kinds of adversity.
We greatly appreciate opportunities like Read With Me which allow us to provide inspiration and join forces with our community to help unlock successful futures for children in Augusta and Richmond County.
