Rotary Club of Augusta Awards $25,000 to Support Literacy Through RISE Augusta

RISE Augusta is deeply grateful to the Rotary Club of Augusta for their generous $25,000 gift presented on Monday, March 2, in support of our literacy programs serving children in Richmond County.

The award was accepted on behalf of RISE Augusta by Board Vice-Chair, Bill Thompson of Queensborough National Bank, who shared Rotary’s commitment to strengthening our community through education and opportunity.

RISE Augusta works alongside local schools to help children overcome barriers to learning by providing literacy tutoring, access to books, and essential supports such as vision care and school supplies. This generous investment from the Rotary Club of Augusta will help ensure that more children receive the support they need to become confident readers and successful students.

We are incredibly thankful to the Rotary Club of Augusta for their belief in our mission and their continued dedication to improving the lives of children in our community.
