May the 4th Be With You… and What a Force-Filled Celebration It Was!
The Force was strong at the HUB on Thursday, May 7, as families from across our community gathered for a truly out-of-this-world celebration!
This special event was made possible through a wonderful collaboration led by the Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History under the leadership of Corey Rogers, together with HUB partners including RISE Augusta, the Harris Literacy Center, and Augusta Locally Grown, as well as valued community partners such as theAugusta-Richmond County Public Library System.
Children and adults of all ages enjoyed the time filled with fun, creativity, and learning. From engaging activities, incredible costumes, wonderful music, and community fellowship to the excitement of discovering new stories, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
And, of course, one of the highlights of the day was the distribution of free Star Wars books—helping ignite imaginations and inspire brighter futures for localchildren.
Thank you to all of our incredible partners, volunteers, and families who joined us. Together, we proved once again that when a community comes together, thepossibilities are truly galactic! .
May the Force—and the joy of reading—be with our children always!
