It’s a great time to READ!

Everyone is stepping things up for a Summer Reading Extravaganza and we hope families will take advantage of the wonderful events and activities happening all over Augusta this summer.

The Augusta-Richmond County Library’s Summer Reading Program kicks off at Dave & Buster’s on Saturday, June 6, and continues throughout the summer. Find Your Reading Joy Summer Reading Challenge! Students can log their summer reading minutes to earn badges, great prizes, and recognition in the fall. The goal is to log 900 minutes between June 1 and July 31, 2026. And don’t miss the Book Bash at the HUB for Community Innovation on Saturday, June 13, from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM at 631 Chafee Avenue, Augusta. There will be lots of FREE books for the WHOLE family, games, goodies, and fun to share!
